(Digitalis purpurea), mejor conocida como digital, es una especie herb\u00e1cea de la familia Escrofulari\u00e1ceas.\r\nEsta <a href=\"\/plantas\">planta<\/a> se desarrolla en un ciclo de 2 a\u00f1os; en el primero tras germinar produce solamente una roseta de hojas basales, ovales, mientras que durante el segundo a\u00f1o se desarrolla un tallo largo de 0,50 a 2,5 metros.\r\nLas flores forman racimos colgantes; son tubulares de hasta 5cm de largo, con p\u00e9talos de color que va desde el amarillo p\u00e1lido hasta el rosa intenso por exterior y p\u00farpura en el interior de la corola. Florecen de junio a septiembre en el hemisferio norte, seg\u00fan la altitud.
