href=\"\/plantas\">planta herb\u00e1cea<\/a> bienal que puede alcanzar un tama\u00f1o de 1,5-2,5 m de altura. Posee un tallo hueco y estriado, manchado de color purp\u00fareo en la base y muy ramoso en la parte superior; las hojas son tripinnadas, blandas, f\u00e9tidas, verdinegras, triangulares y divididas en foliolos ovados o lanceolados. Las hojas inferiores son pecioladas y m\u00e1s grandes que las superiores, llegando a medir 60 cm de longitud. Las flores son peque\u00f1as, de color blanco y surgen en umbelas de unos 10 a 15 cm de di\u00e1metro. El fruto es un peque\u00f1o aquenio redondo u ovalado, de color verde claro. Las semillas son peque\u00f1as de color negruzco. Por v\u00eda externa se ha utilizado en linimentos para la ci\u00e1tica, neuralgia del trig\u00e9mino y dolores reum\u00e1ticos.\r\n\r\nSe us\u00f3 en el tratamiento de las neuralgias rebeldes y dolores cancerosos terminales. Antiguamente tambi\u00e9n se emple\u00f3 en el t\u00e9tanos, la rabia, la tisis y afecciones ven\u00e9reas.
