left;\">Descripci\u00f3n<\/h3>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">El Pino gallego (Pinus pinaster) dado su buen crecimiento y adaptaci\u00f3n al suelo de Galicia, fue la especie m\u00e1s utilizada. Es una especie arb\u00f3rea de la familia de las pin\u00e1ceas que se extiende por Espa\u00f1a. El Pino es un <a href=\"\/arboles\">\u00e1rbol<\/a> de mediano tama\u00f1o 20 a 35 metros, de 1,2 m de tronco, excepcionalmente alcanza hasta 1,8 m, con frecuencia enroscado en la base. Con una corteza rojo anaranjada, gruesa y profundamente agrietada sobre todo en la base.  Su copa es irregular y abierta. Las ac\u00edculas se encuentran en pares, son gruesas y largas, de 12 a 22 cm de largo, de azul verdoso a amarillo verdoso.\r\nSus pi\u00f1as son c\u00f3nicas de 10 a 20 cm de largo y 4 a 6 cm de ancho cuando est\u00e1n cerradas. Verdes al principio para pasar a un marr\u00f3n rojizo a los 24 meses, que abren, ensanchando hasta unos 8 o 12 cm de ancho. Los taninos son astringentes (antidiarr\u00e9ico, hemost\u00e1tico local, cicatrizante). La trementina y su esencia tienen una acci\u00f3n expectorante, antis\u00e9ptico de v\u00edas respiratorias y urinarias (urinario) y, en uso t\u00f3pico, es rubefaciente. Para afecciones respiratorias como la rinitis, sinusitis, laringitis, asma, afecciones urinarias.
