Cuando su escondite no ha sido seguro y se le atrapa, surge una de sus peculiares caracter\u00edsticas: emite un grito especial, seguido por una secreci\u00f3n glandular repelente. \r\nEn \u00e9poca reproductoria  es frecuente observar peleas entre machos.
