<a href=\"\/aves\">p\u00e1jaro<\/a> sociable, atrevido y curioso. Su canto es un gorjeo musical, parecido al del ruise\u00f1or.\r\nSon aves muy confiadas con los humanos especialmente cuando realizan labores en el campo. Al cavar acuden r\u00e1pidamente en busca de las larvas de insectos y lombrices que quedan al descubierto.\r\nSu pecho es de color anaranjado muy vivo y lo emplea como se\u00f1al de aviso junto a sus trinos, ante aquellos intrusos que penetran en su territorio. Si \u00e9ste insiste en quedarse, el petirrojo se acercar\u00e1 a \u00e9l y adoptar\u00e1 posturas de amenaza consistentes en exhibir la mancha roja en toda su amplitud.
