><p>Un lugar como el Monte Viso, activo desde el tiempo de los romanos y de los suevos, ten\u00eda que acoger esa nueva fiebre que invadi\u00f3 Europa desde que, en el siglo IX, hab\u00edan aparecido en la antigua Aseconia, unos restos que se atribuyeron al Ap\u00f3stol Santiago. As\u00ed, por la ladera del Monte entrar\u00edan tambi\u00e9n los peregrinos del Camino Franc\u00e9s, con una variante de la entrada principal por San L\u00e1zaro.<br \/>\nLa tradici\u00f3n oral aun recordaba, a mediados del pasado siglo, a peregrinos pasando por el Viso y bajando luego por el Gai\u00e1s cara el sepulcro.<br \/>\nEl lugar de Lobio, en el Viso, nos remite precisamente a esta tradici\u00f3n. En su etimolog\u00eda \u201c lobio\u201d puede proceder de \u201c fluvium\u201d, r\u00edo, pero tambi\u00e9n es camino, o camino que sigue el r\u00edo, y tambi\u00e9n sepultura. Y as\u00ed emparenta con \u201cSolovio\u201d o \u201c Solobio\u201d= \u201c ipsum fluvium\u201d, \u201cese r\u00edo\u201d.
